GENERAL RULES

All matches in the championship bracket are six minutes in duration, divided into three periods of two minutes each. Consolation matches will be five minutes in length.

A fall, at any time, terminates the match. A wrestler scores a fall when the referee is able to see that both shoulders of the defensive wrestler are held to the mat simultaneously for a period of two seconds.

Competition is divided into fourteen weight classes as follows: 106, 113, 120, 126, 132, 138, 145, 152, 160, 170, 182, 195, 220 and 285.

Illegal action such as stalling, locking arms around the body when on top, or illegal hold is penalized one point for the first and second offense, and two points for the third offense. Note that the first penalty for stalling is a warning, with no points awarded to the opponent. Points are awarded thereafter.
